What is a Domain Name?

A Domain Name is your website's address, also called a URL. The most common ones are .com and .co.uk. The choice is yours, but many more websites are being created & registered these days which quite often means that on your first attempt at registering a domain name your chosen name, normally the most obvious one, is quite often taken.

What is Hosting?

For a website to be seen on the internet it needs to be stored on a computer that is configured to allow access to other users 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Companies that supply this services are call Hosting Companies. A professional hosting company will guarantee 98-100% uptime (this is time that they are switched on with no technical problems).

A hosting company will provide back up facilities in order to ensure that your site remain online for the maximum amount of time possible. Downtime (this is the time that your site or the hosting company is not switched on or has technical problem) of 2% represents approximately half a day per month.

What if I don't like the design?

Love Web Design will work very closely with you to try to give you the look and feel you would like however, in the event that you do not like the final site we will come to some mutual arrangement between us that is suitable for all parties concerned.

How much is it going to cost me in total?

Love Web Design has packages available to purchase. These are all inclusive and are outlined in full, there are no hidden costs and no suprises.

Love Web Design's tailored pricing is worked out on a case by case basis and therefore no one cost or answer can be given to this question. However, we will work with you closely to ensure that your design, text, graphics and any other related services are all included in your solution BEFORE we agree & start work. There will be no surprises!

What is Search Engine Submission?

Websites receive two main types of visitors; people who are given the URL(address) and go straight to it and those who visitors who will find it by entering the relevant keywords or phrases into a search engine (such as Google or Yahoo).

In order to be found by Search Engines, you need to be listed, similar to a listing in the telephone book. This is called Search Engine Submission.

How do You Submit a Site to a Search Engine?
Basic submitting is usually free however the procedure varies between Search Engines. Look for links at the bottom of the search engine window. You may have to register an account.
Can you design a website that works in every browser?
It is essential in website design and development that we consider the most popular browsers, and test our site designs in these. However, if you have a specific browser in mind please do mention this when you talk to us, we can design with this in mind.
Can I Cancel my Contract/Agreement with You?
Of Course You Can! Love Web Design are confident that our service will meet your requirements, however should you wish to cancel you can do so at any time by providing us notice in writing, and fulfilling any payment obligations that become due.
What if I don't have any pictures?
We can purchase pictures on your behalf, which are relevant to your web site/business. We do this by showing you a catalogue of images and letting you select the ones you would like and then placing them in situ for you to view, once you are happy with them they are then purchased and placed in their permanent home.
